These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the website Somalatha, Sri Lankan Events in Perth (the "Site"). By accessing or using the Site, or by submitting information through it, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.
1. About the Site
Somalatha is a free community events calendar that lists Sri Lankan community events in Perth, Western Australia. The Site is provided for general information to help members of the community find out about events. We are not the organiser of the events listed unless expressly stated.
2. Acceptance of these Terms
By using the Site you confirm that you accept these Terms and that you agree to comply with them. When you submit an event, claim an event, or otherwise send us information through a form on the Site, you also confirm that you accept these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
3. Accuracy of event information
Event details on the Site are compiled from information that is publicly available or submitted to us, and are provided in good faith. We do not guarantee that any event information is accurate, complete, or up to date. Event dates, times, venues, prices, and other details may change or be cancelled without notice.
You should always confirm the details of an event directly with the event organiser before attending or making any arrangements. We are not responsible for any loss, cost, or inconvenience arising from reliance on event information shown on the Site.
4. Submitting events and other content
The Site allows you to submit event details and to contact us about events (for example, to claim an event you organise). When you submit content, you agree that:
- The information you provide is accurate and provided in good faith, and you have the right to share it with us.
- You will not submit anything that is false, misleading, unlawful, defamatory, offensive, infringes someone else's rights (including copyright or trademark), or contains spam or malicious code.
- You grant us permission to use, edit, publish, and remove the submitted event information on the Site for the purpose of operating the community calendar.
- We may choose whether or not to publish any submission, and we may edit or remove any listing at our discretion.
If you are an event organiser and wish to have a listing about your event corrected or removed, please contact us and we will action reasonable requests.
5. Acceptable use
You agree to use the Site only for lawful purposes. You must not misuse the Site, attempt to gain unauthorised access to it, interfere with its normal operation, scrape or harvest data from it in bulk, or use it in any way that could damage, disable, or impair the Site or affect other users.
6. Intellectual property
The Site and its content, including the Somalatha name, layout, design, graphics, and text we create, are owned by us or used with permission, and are protected by intellectual property laws. You may view and share links to the Site for personal, non-commercial use, but you must not copy, reproduce, or reuse our content or branding without our permission.
Event names, organiser names, logos, and third-party materials remain the property of their respective owners and are referred to on the Site for information purposes only.
7. Links to other websites
The Site contains links to external websites (such as event source pages and organiser pages) that we do not control. We provide these links for convenience only and are not responsible for the content, accuracy, or practices of those websites. Following any link is at your own risk.
8. Disclaimers
