Year-End Pirith Pinkama & New Year Blessing - Perth Vihara

The Sri Lanka Buddhist Vihara Perth (SLSBS) holds its traditional year-end Pirith (protective chanting) ceremony over six evenings, with individual nights open for community sponsorship. The programme concludes on New Year's Day with the final Pirith Ceremony: Atavisi Buddha Puja, the Pirith Ceremony by the Pirith Mandapa team, distribution of Pirith water and blessed thel (oil) bottles, and New Year celebrations with kiribath, kavum and traditional sweets.
